Legal terms

The legal terms of Terres Check-In are available in Catalan, Spanish and English.

The second edition of Terres Check-In will be held on 13 September 2023.

This festival is co-organised by Terres Landscape & Travel Communication, SL, the Climent Guitart Foundation, CETT Foundation and the Jordi Comas Foundation, and is part of the programme of the Terres Travel Festival – Films & Creativity, which will celebrate its seventh edition from 8 to 16 September 2023.

1.- FESTIVAL REGISTRATIONS, COMPETITION AND SECTIONS

Terres Check-in has 1 competition: TOURISM SERVICES.

Submissions must not exceed 10 ‘in length and must revolve around the following content:

Catering
Theme parks
Health and Wellness
Transportation
Natural Parks
Tours – guides
Rental of equipment for recreational activities
Accessible and Responsible Tourism
Business action
Innovation
Tourism 3.0

Each film/project can only be presented in one of the following categories:

ACCOMODATION

TRANSPORT

RESTAURANTS

MUSEUM

TEMPLES AND GARDENS

THEMATIC PARKS

SPA AND WELLNESS FACILITIES

RECREATIONAL SERVICES

TRAVEL TECHNOLOGY

2.- YEAR OF PRODUCTION

All films or campaigns entered in the festival must have been produced after 1 January 2021.

3.- ORIGINAL VERSIONS AND LANGUAGES

The Festival accepts entries in any language. However, all the films submitted must have subtitles in English, Catalan or Spanish.

4.- DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION

All videos have to be registered before June 23, 2023, at 24,00 (CET).

5.- FORMATS AND DELIVERY

To formalize the registration, for each of the registered films it is required:

The financial fees for the transfer will be borne by the transferor.

Movies up to 10 ‘in length:

Until 15 January 2023: 50 € (+ VAT)
From January 16 to June 23, 2023: 90 € (+ VAT)

Terres Check-In will accept movie entries from the Film Freeway platform. These registrations must comply with the specific requirements of this platform as well as with the requirements of Terres in all matters relating to formats, submissions and registration fees.

7.- RIGHTS OFUSE

By submitting a film to the Terres Check-Infestival, the participant ensures that they hold the ownership of all the rights inherent to the registration and the access to these materials during the festival period. The registration guarantees that the rights of use held by the authors, copyright owners and other agents involved in the production of the registered film, with the exception of the rights safeguarded by the companies holding the exhibition rights, were acquired in a legitimate manner and the festival reserves the right to use them, not being impeded by copyright or other rights of third parties, whatever they may be. When a participant registers a film transferred to the festival, the rights to use the registration, specifically the right to exhibit the film in public, follow it in its entirety or in part, or distribute it totally or partially in promotional actions. This also applies to photographs / images supplied to the festival. All the permissions of use before related are valid internationally.

8.- AWARDS

An international jury will analyze the registered films and issue a verdict on those that will become part of the Official Competition. During the festival, the winners of the different awards by categories and special prizes will be announced, which will be awarded on 13 September 2023.

Prizes will be awarded for each of the categories in competition, special prizes and three grand prizes:

1. LATE CHECK-OUT

Category that rewards the audiovisual proposals of tourism sector organizations that generate an inspiring, emotional, unforgettable and memorable experience to enjoy that helps create a feeling of “not wanting to leave” ever or as late as possible of this tourist experience and want to come back.

2. FAST CHECK-IN

Category that rewards the audiovisual proposals of organizations in the tourism sector where the application of technologies related to the digital and technological field is the main axis of communication with the aim of improving the added value provided to customers and their experience of as well as to increase its competitiveness.

3. SOCIAL CHECK-IN

Category that rewards the audiovisual proposals of tourism sector organizations that demonstrate the commitment of organizations to sustainability and corporate social responsibility, with the aim of preserving our planet for future generations.

8b.- CIFFT RANKING LIST – WORLD’S BEST TOURISM FILMS

Terres Travel Festival – Films & Creativity is an official member of the International Committee of Tourist Film Festivals – CIFFT. Since 2019, the Terres Festival has been part of a circuit that brings together the Best Tourism Film Festivals in the World on four continents and together makes this competition the most prestigious awards and recognition initiative for Travel Video Marketing.

All films that win an award in the tourism section of the international competition will become part of the CIFFT Ranking. At the end of the year, this ranking determines the Top of the best tourism films in the world in each of the six thematic ranking lists.

The rating is expressed on a scale of 2 to 13. The film receives points according to the prize obtained in the festival:

Special notes:

  1. In the event that a film receives more than one award, only the highest award will be considered for the ranking list.
  2. Awards at CIFFT candidate festivals do not count for the CIFFT Rank List.
  3. As for the National Competition existing in some of the circuit members, only the Grand Prix Winner will be taken to the CIFFT Rank List.
  4. The CIFFT Rank List will be updated and posted on the CIFFT website, as authorized by each participant, the week after the awards ceremony for each festival.
